Inspirations

Talked to mom when I was supposed to study in the library (was during break time :) heh)

We talked about Michelle Kwan, Kim YuNa and Kimora Lee.
Kim Yuna has always been my inspiration but when I saw Michelle Kwan. Gosh. She's the most elegant lady I've ever seen! Kimora Lee is the most perfect lady in the world. She has her own style, brain and capacity to work in whatever conditions! Such a corporate woman!

Kimora and her girls

Michelle Kwan (She's just so natural!)

Kim YuNa with her skates. Loving her pure innocent appearance

Thus, these 3 beautiful ladies are my inspirations in order for me to achieve my goals in life.

When others can, you can too! heh.

p/s : you don't need to change to impress someone or show off that you can do what the others can't. Just be yourself and believe in who you actually are. Live life the most comfortable way you could get before you regret. You'll feel ashame when you think back and see yourself being a puppet trying so hard to get everyone around you to like you.

Germany vs. Spain

I only had 2 and a half hours to sleep before my morning class. Thank goodness it was Quantity Methods Class otherwise I'll be fishing during lectures. haha.

The match this morning was saddening. I wanted to support Spain because Germany has won the World Cup before. But when I was watching the match, I was favouring Germany all the time! (I think it was because the Spanish were so proud of themselves) AND it was sad to actually KNOW the result of the match before it begins! Damn Octopus!

Anyway, Germany had done their very best on the field. They were being defensive since the first half. I guess they got tired after that. Plus, the Spanish played really well this time. I saw some improvements since the Paraguay's match. Casillas and Neuer were awesome goalkeepers! Oh wells, I'm not up to that par to comment on how well they played. lol.

Anyways, of all the German players... I personally admire Mesut Ozil

I have no idea why maybe it was because of his innocent expressions lol!

Next Germany's match will be this coming Saturday. They're playing against Uruguay! I can't wait to watch :)

Anyways, enough with football. Gotta catch up some sleep.

Till then,

Reality

Sometimes I have this feeling that I'm pursuing the wrong career, taking the wrong course and staying at the wrong side of the world. Tsks.

Instead, I should be taking Korean language and become a manager in the kpop industry. Life would be so much easier if you do things you have passion for right?

Nevertheless, I know most Kpop lovers will think the same though. So there'll be hell lot of competitors out there and I know I am not the best of the best of a Kpop lover due to some restrictions >.<. So yeah... thats what pulled me back to Earth and reminded me that I am an Accounting student. lol.

But but but...but I am seriously hooked! I need some medications and determination to keep me survive in the other side of the world. I need to study. sigh

I Need A Girl

Taeyang's new single from his newly released album, Solar.
I Need A Girl featuring GDragon (:D :D :D :D) with Sandara Park starring as TY's girl!
I was so happy that this song was out this morning at 12AM!
I was so excited that I got to listen to GD's voice again!
It wasn't that nice to some people who listened to it once but if you listen to it a few times... it'll be really addictive! I highly recommend this to you all!
Plus, GD is so hawt in the video I nearly fainted! haha! I wished he has more parts in the video though. Ah... Oh wells. Enjoy people! :)

****

If you guys wonder what kind of KPop I'm into...
I have a different taste of KPop compare to the majority. I usually go for rapping and some R&B.
You can say anything about Bigbang, 2ne1 and Untouchable. I like it when they have nice beats as well as good lyrics! So yeah, what I'm trying to deliver is that do not be surprised when I post up videos on rapping korean songs especially GD's! :D

Kim YuNa

She's gorgeous!
Someone posted her images in Facebook. I checked and I had to post some here.
Kim Yu Na's a Korean figure skater.
She was rated as the Person of the Year in 2008 by Korea Times. How honourable is that?
She gave me inspirations to work harder. She's just my age and she has gone so far!
Nothing is impossible if you have the heart to do it.

Football Fever?

I never expect myself writing this. lol.
I've watched one of the matches last night Eugene and Justin. It was Slovokia vs. New Zealand. It wasn't an exciting match but I managed to spend the whole 90mins siting there watching with the guys. I have to admit... the last minute goal by the New Zealanders were funny and exciting! haha.
And that was how I realised football aren't that bad after all. The team spirit has to be there! I used to think that these guys who run across the field with a ball are robots. I didn't bother to wonder what kind of people they are until last night when I saw one of them shot a goal. The images painted out on their faces showed how happy they were and I had goosebumps watching their happy faces! Then memories ran through my mind... I remember the time when my school drama team has won from district level to state level. I broke into tears of happiness because we were under some stress and we did our best no matter what the result is gonna be. Then we went for national level. We worked closer and harder as a team and showed our best in Langkawi. It was the spirit we had that made us won the whole competition. And again, i broke into tears. (coincidentally, the final was on my birthday.. so yeah. it was the best birthday gift ever). We jumped and screamed and let out every bits of grudge we had when we were announced as the winner!

Okay back to football, last night match reminded me of so many things that I nearly forget. The competitive environment (besides studies), the working in a team spirit and also the sad, joy and stress that spread across the whole team. I miss them so so much!

I have to say... football is awesome! especially when ur favourite team is playing! I'm gonna try catching South Korea's match next week! wheeeee~ So who's up for it? ;)

Btw, I've read this article on Readers' Digest.
It's called the Homeless FC. Try checking it out. The story is about 3 homeless normal people in Hong Kong struggled to make ends meet. Then they were helped by one of the social worker and they formed a football team. They call themself Dawn Team :) Every player has their stories behind but on the field... they only have ONE goal. Read it! Their stories are inspiring and its not ONLY about football... its about life too. How amazing that is? relate football to life :)

Soon after becoming homeless,
I started wandering the streets whenever
I couldn't sleep. Late at night, there aren't
many people. It's strangely liberating.

Soon after becoming homeless, I joined a
football team. There are all kinds of people
on this team. Most used to be homeless.
Many still are.

Most of the players want to turn their lives
around. But we never thought that
turning over a new leaf would take us to such
a faraway place.

Goober & Miscommunication

In Environment Economics class today, Mr Song (I must admit, the cutest guy lecturer ever - in terms of size and the way he talks!) brought a new "Goober" (or some may call it as Smucker) today!
He was telling us about different types of company legal statuses, and he gave an example of Private Limited Company which is Smucker owned by only family members. Most of us may know what's Goober but not Smucker Lol. So we were a little confused that time. Then he said he'll buy one jar for us and try in the class! Today, I didn't remember we were supposed to bring our own spoon. He expected no one will bring, he brought his own spoon for spreading and also a packet of cream crackers for us to eat with! So nice of him! I was the first to "try" it! Haha (as if i never try before). Before he passed to me, I saw the jar and I went like "OHHHHHH!"... then he joked "Oh!? okay no need to give edi...*put back into his "Go Green" bag* " lol! The whole class were soo excited and i just burst their bubble. lol. Luckily he was just kidding, then the whole class passed the jar around during his lecture. We were happy :)

Today, we learnt about Hierarchies in different types of companies. Narrowed it down to miscommunication, we had some activities in class which made us really awake and he showed us this.

*****
The Boss of a company initiates a mail to invite his staff to witness an Eclipse and how his message is passed by employees at different levels in the hierarchy and finally how it reaches to the staff.

Mail from CEO to Manager :
Today at 11 o’clock there will be a total eclipse of the sun. This is when the sun disappears behind the moon for two minutes. As this is something that cannot be seen every day, time will be allowed for employees to view the eclipse in the parking lot. Staff should meet in the lot at ten to eleven, when I will deliver a short speech introducing the eclipse, and giving some background information. Safety goggles will be made available at a small cost.

Mail from Manager to Department Head :
Today at ten to eleven, all staff should meet in the car park. This will be followed by a total eclipse of the sun, which will appear for two minutes. For a moderate cost, this will be made safe with goggles. The CEO will deliver a short speech beforehand to give us all some information. This not something that can be seen everyday.

Mail from Dept. Head to Floor Manager :
The CEO will today deliver a short speech to make the sun disappear for two minutes in the form of an eclipse. This is something that cannot be seen every day, so staff will meet in the car park at ten or eleven. This will be safe, if you pay a moderate cost.

Mail from Floor Manager to Supervisor :
Ten or eleven staff are to go to the car park, where the CEO will eclipse the sun for two minutes. This doesn’t happen every day. It will be safe, and as usual it will cost you.

Mail from Supervisor to Staff :
Some staff will go to the car park today to see the CEO disappear. It is a pity, this doesn’t happen everyday.

Back again :)

So I haven't been blogging for a long time. Its just weird that suddenly I have the urge to write something here. I have so much stuffs to list in here but I think I shall be a bit more straight-to-the-point. lol.

I had 2 months of semester break and I had so much fun hanging out with friends and family back in KK. Now, back to reality. Assignments, morning classes, lectures and if possible, club activities! I've joined Social Board and I'm the secretary for Orientation Night. It sounds fun but I have to be really prepared for piling up work! Oh well, just wanna gain some experience and contribute something. Close friends should know that I'm a person who cannot not contribute anything in college. lol. But this time I'm trying to control and prevent myself from committing into too many events. Extreme prior to study! :)

I had the best time with the Nottingham clan last weekend. We traveled to places around KL. We started with Dim Sum at Cheras (the place where nostalgia kicked in because I remember going there when I was little kid with my big Wong family. sigh. i miss all of them now)

I'm having 5 subjects in this sem. Finals' on April. Late April. This time, the classes are more to the theory side. No more calculations except Stats class which I find it really fun during computer lab sessions!

I just finished half of Business Law tutorial questions which only due this Friday. And I'm having Skills for Accountants class (Cherish's class) soon. I'll talk more about the subjects I'm taking later cos I don't wanna make this post to be really nerdy. lol.

Before I sign off, I should introduce my new all-time favorite series! Glee! Read about it!

I just can't get the hang of it! I finished 1st Season. I'm waiting for 2nd Season! No twisted dramas, only pure fun and humor! While waiting, I listen to their whole OST! Big thanks to Eugene! :)

Gotta go!
